Kid played with my phone and now lockscreen is locked for 30 days. Help.

I left my phone unattended for a while and my kid managed to get hold of it. After a few failed attempts to unlock the phone, it seems that the lockscreen is now locked for 30 days. I can't wait that long to unlock my phone. I did some quick Googling and it looks like it's a security feature to prevent someone from continuously trying to break into the phone, which I understand, but this situation is quite frustrating. Is there any workaround to this? I would appreciate any help.

The feature you're talking about is an Android feature. It's designed to protect your phone from intruders, but it can be inconvenient in situations like this. The first thing you should try is simply restarting your phone. This sometimes resets this security feature.

If that doesn't work, you'll have to go through Google's recovery process. You'll need to visit Google's Account Recovery page on another device. Follow the prompts to authenticate your Google account, and Google can remotely unlock your device.

Actually, another solution might be to use your Google Account linked with the device. Usually, when you try to unlock your Android phone with the wrong password multiple times, it will show you an option 'Forgot pattern?' or 'Forgot password?'. Clicking on it will give you options to unlock your phone using your Google Account. This would solve your problem without having to wait for 30 days.

If your problem still persists, consider contacting manufacturer's customer service. Depending on your device model, there may be specific ways to reset or bypass the locked screen. Keep in mind this should be your last resort as this process might require proof of purchase or other verification methods to prove that you are the owner of the device.
